Todwick Art, Flowers and Music Festival 2019
Saturday, 25 May 2019
12.00 – 16.30
Todwick Church and Todwick Church Hall

Following the very successful events held in 2017 and 2018 and to help with the maintenance of our beautiful old Todwick Church (dated 1086) a Todwick Art, Flower and Music Festival will be held to raise funds.
There will be lots of interesting displays of flowers, planters and artwork of various kinds. All Todwick groups, individuals and children are invited to make a flower arrangement or a planter – large or small that could be on display in both the Church and Church Hall.
Likewise, any artists or photographers who would like to display their works of art are invited to display them for free. If any artists wish to sell their art work and are successful, they are requested to make a donation of 5% of the sale to the event.
Kiveton Park and District Art Group will be displaying their members’ pieces of art – and some of the artwork will be on sale. Also, the Wales High School will have a large display of the art and photography.
At 4 pm the flower displays and planters will be auctioned off with all proceeds going towards the maintenance of the Todwick Church.

There will be music entertaining visitors whilst they are viewing the flowers, planters and artwork.
Refreshments will be available – cakes, scones, tarts, various types of teas, coffees and juices.
Tickets are now on sale and include refreshments at £4 each. Free of charge entrance for children.
For further information and tickets please contact organiser Sheila Pantry, Tel: 01909 771024 or email sp@sheilapantry.com

Introducing the “New” Wentworth Woodhouse – presentation by David Allott
Thursday, 25 April 2019
19.00
Todwick Village Hall
Talk and pictures – presentation by David Allott, Wentworth Woodhouse Guide and Archivist followed by a question and answer session.
Wentworth Woodhouse is on an exciting journey since the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust (WWPT) and National Trust took over the future of this magnificent house (actually there are two houses) which has the longest front façade in Europe.
The House is on our doorstep – about 20-25 minutes away from Todwick with plenty of parking space. The newly restored 26 State rooms have certainly got the WOW factor – the Marble State Room is absolutely beautifully breath-taking! The 18th century craftsmanship is amazing.
The House has a most interesting history since it was first built in the early 1700s.
In beautiful parklands and fabulous restored gardens, it is a place to visit for many occasions.
Please come and hear what is being developed and what you can see before you plan your own visit. See also https://wentworthwoodhouse.org.uk
