Pop-up Crime Prevention Day
Wednesday, 15 June 2022
14.15 – 16.15
Todwick Village Hall grounds by Kiveton Road
In attendance will be South Yorkshire Police, Neighbourhood Watch, and Rotherham Borough Council to listen, offer advice and hear your concerns.
Join them for a chat, refreshments and giveaways, they want to hear from you!
They will be supporting:
- Have a Cuppa with a Neighbour – Help to reduce loneliness and isolation
- Face-to-face contact can increase our sense of belonging and purpose. It can also increase feelings of happiness and confidence. Having a cuppa with your neighbour does not mean you need to become best friends. But it’ll make you both feel more connected.
- The Calling Tree
- Supporting our neighbours and wider community who are not connected on social media can be a challenge. Why not setup a calling tree in your area? It’s a lovely way to stay connected, particularly with those who are not online. Here is how it works… You call 3 people. Those 3 people call 3 people each making 9. Those 9 each call 3 people reaching 27 people. Those 27 each call 3 reaching 81 people. The phone tree builds. Call 3 people today to ask how they are doing. Reduce isolation and stay connected. There will be some postcards for you to use at the event.
There is a flyer for the event.

Todwick Art, Flowers and Music Festival 2022
Saturday, 28 May 2022
12.00 – 16.00 including auction
Todwick Church and Todwick Church Hall
Following the very successful events held in 2017, 2018 & 2019 and to help raise funds for the maintenance of our beautiful old Todwick Church (dated 1086) a Todwick Art, Flowers and Music Festival will be held.
There will be lots of interesting displays of flowers, planters and artwork of various kinds. All Todwick groups, individuals, teenagers and children are invited to make a flower arrangement, small or as large as you want that could be on display in both the Church and Church Hall and afterwards auctioned off.
Likewise, any artists or photographers who would like to display their works of art are invited to display them for free. If any artists wish to sell their artwork and are successful, they are requested to make a donation of 5% of the sale to the event.
Local Art Groups may wish to display their members’ pieces of art – and some of the artwork will be on sale. Other displays are being arranged.
At 3.30 pm the flower displays and planters will be auctioned off with all proceeds going towards the maintenance of the Todwick Church.
There will be music provided by the Dearne Big Band entertaining visitors whilst they are viewing the flowers, planters and artwork or having some refreshments.
Refreshments will be available – cakes, scones, tarts, various types of teas, coffees and juices.
Tickets are now on sale and include refreshments at £5 each per adult. Free of charge entrance for children and teenagers.
For further information and tickets please contact organiser Sheila Pantry, Tel: 01909 771024 or email sp@sheilapantry.com
Please invite your friends and families and add this event to your diaries and calendars now and enjoy a great afternoon. Most of all come and help support the maintenance of our near 1000 years old church.
