Saturday, 20 May 2023
12.00 – 15.30 opened by Wales High School headteacher Mr. G. Di'Iasio
Todwick Church and Todwick Church Hall

Following the very successful events held in 2017, 2018, 2019 and in 2022 and to help raise funds for the maintenance of our beautiful old Todwick Church (dated 1086) a Todwick Art, Flowers and Music Festival will be held.

There will be lots of interesting displays of flowers, planters and artwork of various kinds.

All Todwick groups, individuals, teenagers and children are invited to make planters or a flower arrangement, small or as large as you want that could be on display in both the Church and Church Hall and afterwards auctioned off.

Likewise, any artists or photographers who would like to display their works of art are invited to display them for free. If any artists wish to sell their artwork and are successful, they are requested to make a donation of 5% of the sale to the event.

Local Art Groups may wish to display their members’ pieces of art – and some of the artwork will be on sale. Other displays are being arranged. Art from Wales High School students will also be on display, so come and see their efforts.

At 3.30 pm the flower displays and planters will be auctioned off with all proceeds going towards the maintenance of the Todwick Church.

There will be music provided by the Dearne Big Band entertaining visitors whilst they are viewing the flowers, planters and artwork or having some refreshments. If the weather is sunny and warm the Dearne Big Band which has a number of young musicians showing off their talents will be playing outside of the Church Hall so come an enjoy the music in the grounds whilst having your refreshments.

Refreshments will be available – cakes, scones, tarts, various types of teas, coffees and juices.

Tickets are now on sale and include refreshments at £5 each per adult. Free of charge entrance for children and teenagers. For further information and tickets please contact organiser Sheila Pantry, OBE Tel: 01909 771024 or email sp@sheilapantry.com
