Joint Community Safety Open Day

Lifewise Centre, Hellaby, Rotherham S66 8LB (just off Junction 1 of the M18 by
car, and also easily accessible by local bus services)
Annual Lifewise Open Day held by South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Joint Community Safety Department.
On the day there will be Police and Fire vehicles and representation from various departments within South Yorkshire Fire & Police and external partners. There will also be demonstrations and information on offer throughout the day on varying subjects.
There will be lots of free child-friendly activities on the day including:
- crafting stations
- treasure hunt
- uniform try-on
- fingerprinting
… plus lots of other things to see and do.
There will be lots of great advice for older visitors – it’s really a day any age can enjoy and learn something new, it’s not an event exclusively for children.
There will be some refreshments available on-site including drinks and cake.

This event is aimed at South Yorkshire residents and anyone with caring responsibilities for an older person. There are specialist sessions on:
- home fire safety
- safer driving for older drivers
- fraud
- Herbert Protocol
The day will include valuable contributions from South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire Service, TSB Bank, Vodafone & Sheffield Council.
Organised by the Joint Community Safety Team at Lifewise.
