18/05 STRATEGY FOR THE RECREATION GROUND
Progress has been excellent since the beginning of the year, although there is still some painting to be done. The next step is to be the removal of the old container as soon as possible. DG suggested that once the old container has gone the youngsters in the village should be encouraged to use that area to ride their bikes and play games etc.
18/06 ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Bowling Club
JT said that a list of necessary repairs and been compiled and would be e-mailed to EN in time for the next PC meeting. She specifically mentioned that the electrical wiring needed to be checked as this had not been done for some time.
Cricket Club
DG requested that the Cricket Club should now remove the remainder of their items from the old container in order to facilitate its removal. Julian may be able to assist with the removal of any items which are no longer used and which need to be thrown away, such as the old wooden tables which are taking up space.
Todwick Villa
AW stated that the teams were happy with the facilities at the Pavilion, and had no issues at present.
Parking
It is planned that Parking bays are to be marked out during the week commencing 11th October (weather permitting) and DG asked that as many people as possible turn up to assist with this. It is intended that there will be a "No Parking Beyond this Point" sign, and hatching for disabled parking after the last parking bay. It is hoped that this will sort out the majority of the parking issues.
Dogs
JT said that the Bowling Club were making a point of asking visitors not to bring dogs on to the Recreation Ground. DG said that when the parking bays are being marked out a "No Dogs" sign is to be painted on the floor at the entrance.
DG reported that in spite of the use of vandal proof paint, youngsters were still climbing on to the roof and there had been some windows broken and the shutters smashed.
The Meeting was concluded at 7.35 p.m.
THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE ON THE 16th NOVEMBER 2010 AND WILL COMMENCE AT 7.00 p.m.
