The Minutes of the last meeting were adopted.

16/04 MATTERS ARISING

All agreed that the pavilion was now looking good and fit for purpose.

AW said that he felt that Todwick Villa were being blamed for the previous poor state of the pavilion, and that blame for any future mess would be placed on them too.

DG stated that the TRGC Committee had done its best to provide decent facilities for all users, and that we now had to move forward. It was essential that all users played their part in keeping the pavilion in a clean and tidy state, and made sure that their members treated the facility with respect.

DO'F said that it was inevitable that at times during bad weather mud would be trailed through, but if mops and cleaning fluids were available it should not be too much of a job to clean up and leave the pavilion in a clean state. He also felt that each user should take on the responsibility of reporting any damage occasioned during matches to the Chairman or Secretary straight away so that it was clear how and when the damage had occurred.

DG asked that each user provide its own toilet rolls etc., and said that if all involved could work together to keep the current pavilion clean and tidy, it would prove that any new facility would be respected and worth the effort that the PC would be putting in to provide a brand new all purpose pavilion.

16/5 STRATEGY FOR THE RECREATION GROUND

EN asked about the possibility of having a caretaker for the recreation ground who could go down on Monday mornings to check that the pavilion had been left in a clean and tidy state, and suggested we might ask Julian if he could undertake to do this. DG is to put this to the PC.

Waste bins are to be provided in the pavilion.

A list of keyholders is to be drawn up and displayed in the pavilion.

Each user is to display a list of fixtures on the pavilion notice board to help with co-ordinating the use of the pavilion, and a list of contact numbers should also be displayed.

DG stated we needed a plumber to do some work in taking down the header tank from the pavilion roof. AW said he knew a plumber who may be able to do it and would ask.

DO'F suggested that a wall be erected between the changing room and the toilets and that this was something he would be prepared to undertake.

DG said that it is hoped in time to provide some water heaters in the pavilion and asked that if anyone had any other ideas to improve the pavilion, then please let him know.

AW left the meeting at 7.55 p.m.

16/6 ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Dogs

DG said he was aware that people visiting to watch football and cricket matches were sometimes bringing their dogs on to the ground. He mentioned two occasions when he had spoken to people and he said that he had also received complaints from people bringing children on to the playground. Dogs are strictly forbidden on the ground and DG asked that users make this clear to their teams and visitors. DO'F suggested that more signs should be put up and a notice put in The Informer.

DO'F said the same pitch plans as last year would apply, and that football would make every effort to have all fixtures completed earlier than had happened this year.

DG said he would get Ian Hellewell to have a look at the field. DO'F and PC said that IH had been very helpful to them and they would like to place their thanks on record.

THE MEETING WAS CONCLUDED AT APPROXIMATELY 8.10 p.m. AND THE NEXT MEETING WILL AT AT 7.00 p.m. ON THE 13TH JULY 2010.
