05/109 BUDGET
Clerk/Palmer reported on the 12th January liaison meeting with representatives of the Village Hall Management Committee and the Yorkshire Rural Community Council. An application for grant aid towards the cost of extending and improving the village hall was to be submitted by the Management Committee before the end of the month. The Parish Council Chairman had confirmed that for each of the preceding 10 years, the annual precept had included £5,000 towards the cost of village hall improvements and therefore £50,000 was currently available.
Resolved
- To confirm the Council's commitment of £50,000 towards the cost of the village hall extension/improvement.
- To consider the possibility of borrowing additional monies to ensure sufficient funds would be available for village hall improvement works.
- To allow £10,000 within the budget for 2006/7 for village hall improvements.
