04/2 APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES

There were no amendments.

The minutes were signed as a correct record.

04/3 MATTERS ARISING

  1. 03/161(3)

    Gregory confirmed that the conclusions would be widely reported. Todwick should continue to be represented at the meetings.

    Gregory had attended to AGM of the Advice Centre. Copies of any publicity literature would be sent to the Council.

    B Waller advised that the floodlight would be repaired shortly.

  4. 03/167(2)

    B Waller had approval to have the flagstones laid but Mosley had obtained turf free of charge and had laid this.

04/4 ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

Resolved to appoint Councillor Pantry as Chairman for the year.

Resolved to appoint Councillor Mosley as Vice-Chairman for the year.

04/10 CORRESPONDENCE

  1. Department for Culture, Media and Sport - Application for Listing of 93 Kiveton lane

    B Waller had spoken with the writer of the letter. The next step was an inspection of the property some months hence.

  5. R.M.B.C. - Notice of Casual Vacancy

  7. R.M.B.C. - Street Cleansing and Gully Emptying

    Resolved that Councillor Langford obtain competitive quotations for a special sweep of the carriageways and footways in the village.

  8. R.M.B.C. - A57 Improvement Scheme

    Mosley reported on his attendance at the "Residents of Todwick" meeting the previous week. Members of he Committee hoped to meet with RMBC to discuss their objections in person. A petition had been sent to RMBC in addition to several letters of objection had been sent by other parishioners.

    Chairman brought to member's attention extracts from information received from the Yorkshire Local Councils Association including, revised salary levels for Clerks, risk management, statements by David Mitchell (YRCC) related to parish plans.

  1. RB2004/0815

    Two storey and single storey rear extension, new dormer window to front and erection of detached garage at 81 Kiveton Lane for Mr and Mrs A Farrow.

    Resolved to offer no objection

    Single Storey rear extension at 111 Kiveton Lane for Mr P Smith

    Resolved to offer no objection

  3. RB2004/0886

    Erection of a detached dwelling house with integral garage at Plot 9 The Pastures for Habbin Builders.

    Resolved to offer no objection.

  4. RB2004/0938

    Single storey side and rear extension at 7 Staniforth Crescent for Mr K Wright.

    Resolved to offer no objection.

  5. RB2004/0598

    First floor extension at 123 Kiveton Lane for Mr Simpson.

    Resolved to offer no objection.

04/12 COMMITTEES

There were no reports to make.

04/13 VILLAGE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT

Mosley reported on maintenance works carried out since the last meeting:-

  • daily clearance of litter at the recreation ground and children's playground
  • cutting of vegetation at the driveway to the allotments
  • erection of new notice boards
  • laying turf at the recreation ground youth shelter
  • servicing of swings at both sites

B Waller asked for hedging works at the allotments to be carried out.

Mosley would arrange.

04/14 COUNCIL VACANCIES

Resolved to delay making a decision until permission to co-opt for the most recent vacancy had been received.

04/15 VILLAGE PLAN

Chairman reported on the possible publication of a public rights of way leaflet for walkers.

Gregory Mr Wilson and the RMBC Public Rights of Way Officer would be able to assist.

04/16 URGENT ITEMS

  1. Footpaths.

    B Waller asked whether footpaths 8 and 10 could be cleared.

    Gregory would speak with the RMBC Public Rights of Way Officer.

The meeting closed at 9.15 p.m.
