Girl Guiding UK

Girlguiding UK request that all new enquiries should be to www.girlguiding.org.uk/interested or telephone 0800 1695 901 where parent can choose up to 3 local units which can be specified in preferential order.

Membership of all three groups is not restricted to Todwick residents.

Girl Guide Rainbows

Age group is 5–7 year olds.

Activities include games, crafts and working for badges.

Meetings: Held weekly during term time.

Girl Guide Brownies

Age group is 7–10 year olds. Currently (March 2013), there are 4 qualified Guide Leaders and a capacity for 24 members.

Activities include crafts, cookery, have speakers such as police, fire brigade and learn about holidays and celebrations from other countries and cultures. Also encourage members to take part in the Family service at Church on the 3rd Sunday of the month and we run the Pantry stall at the Garden Fete, and a stall at the Village Christmas Fayre. The weekend activity trip “Pack Holiday” is only run once a year now but we do sometimes hold sleepovers.

Guides

Age group is 10–16 year olds.

Involved in fundraising activities, side shows at the Garden Fete and Village Hall Fete. Work toward badges.
