Todwick Ramblers Club - 3rd Annual General Meeting
On Monday 9th November 2009 the Club held its 3rd Annual General Meeting, with 15 members attending. A review of the past 12 months indicated that the Club had achieved its principal function to provide a minimum of 2 rambles per month, giving a mix of local rambles around Todwick and various other rambles taken further afield, all usually with a distance of 5-7 miles maximum.
Membership is still growing steadily and this in turn has created an opportunity to introduce additional walk leaders, to provide rambles in a variety of interesting areas.
In September the Club produced its first 3 monthly walks programme and is currently addressing the details of the next programme due to commence in February 2010.
Following on from last winter's successful venture, 3 further illustrated talks have been arranged to take place on 26 November 2009, 25 February 2010 and 25 March 2010. The first of these illustrated talks will be looking at the history and development of X-rays and will take place in the Village Hall on Thursday 26 November 2009 at 7.30 pm. The cost of admission is £2.00 for non-members and £1.00 for members and will include light refreshments afterwards.
