Open Evening about National Grid replacing all gas pipes in Todwick

The National Grid are now responsible for the gas pipework under Todwick.

They intend to start a programme of work in Todwick to replace all the old iron pipes with plastic. The work will commence in the first week of April and will last 6 Months!

Because there will be major disruption to the households in Todwick, National Grid will be writing to all households and they also intend to hold an "open evening" on 27 March 2008 to explain their plan of work (a 20 minute presentation) and to answer any questions.

There will be a 20 to 30 minute presentation followed by a forum answering any questions. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served.

Meeting opposite Todwick School at 9.35 am to catch the no 23 bus to The Saxton. The walk will then be through Kiveton Forest Park to Hartill. Then to Thorpe Salvin and back to Kiveton Station by the canal.
